International clients have enjoyed significant benefits from utilising the high penetration OPS Macro Hybrid System (MHS). With recent trends in lower solar PV costs and rising diesel fuel costs the MHS is an ideal system for achieving maximum levels of operational savings.

The MHS is a large-scale off-grid integrated hybrid system where high levels of renewable penetration is achieved. Large levels of solar PV become a significant control issue especially under fast changing sky conditions and fluctuating loads. The OPS system uses very fast control processes to ensure power fluctuations are managed and high power quality is retained.

The MHS has been deployed in Malaysia, Indonesia and the USA on systems from 1 to 2 MW range. Ongoing performance analysis has shown that diesel life cycle costs are reduced by approximately 50 per cent.
